Peak District Annual Meet (we will adhere to social distancing guidelines)

Dates have now finally been confirmed and a rough itinerary is given below.
I will continue to shape the itinerary in line with Government advice and keep this page updated.

Riders from the South

Meeting Location: South Mimms
Ride Lead: Alan Knight & Anthony Georgiou
Location meeting time: 10:30AM

All riders should aim to assemble here by the agreed time. If you miss this time OR have not informed the ride leader (Anthony Georgiou), the group will depart at the pre-determined time. The route will have been shared with you with appropriate fuel/meeting stops. You are welcome to catch-up with the group.

In any case, the destination is Robin Hood Harley Davidson (RHHD). Everyone registered for the ride must reach here by 1PM on 11.July.2020.

Riders from the North

Rough Day 01 Itinerary

13:00 – Meet & greet. Roll call. Issues/problems/missing riders/etc.
13:15 – Fuel top-up
13:30 – Lunch at KFC (opposite RHHD) if only takeaways allowed
OR – Lunch at “Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem” if lock-down has been relaxed
14:30-15:00 – Ride out. Stops at Matlock, Ashbourne, etc. Ride currently being finalized. Fuel stops every 75-odd miles.
19:00-20:00 – Arrive at hotel. Freshen up. Head out for drinks & dinner (depending on lock-down rules, it might just be beer cans & takeaways!)

Rough Day 02 Itinerary

08:00 – Meet for breakfast
10:00 – Fuel top-up
10:30 – Ride-out into the crazy Peak District twisty roads for an exhilarating experiences, banter, camaraderie
11:00-17:00 – Several stops in Peak District. Ride currently being finalized. Fuel stops ever 75-85 miles. Stops for lunch & snacks planned.
17:00 – Arrive at Esso Petrol station just off M1 J28. Bid final good-byes and depart for home. This time can be brought forward if people want to leave earlier.

At this stage, the ride routes have not been finalised. These can be fine tuned easily.
I strongly recommend booking your hotel room so that you have a place to stay – that part is critical.
I can work the route around the hotel stay easily.
