A little about me. I was born in Reading, Berkshire, My dad was in the RAF so we travelled around every few years. After leaving school I also joined the RAF and did 6 years working initially in Air Traffic but then moved into transport.
My career after leaving the RAF was varied until I joined a company that designed Cable TV networks, this moved me all the way to the North West, Preston in Lancashire. Here I meet my wife Maxine and we have three, now grown up children.
In 2002 I started a Traffic Management and Civil Engineering Company with my business partner that employs 80 staff.
I wasn’t really a fan of motorbikes during my early years, was more into cars. I was 48 when I took my test and the first bike i purchased was a 2010 Kawasaki Z1000.
I was happy with this bike and had no intention of changing it until my business partner said he was going to Harley Davidson to look for a bike, it was at this point that I laid my eyes on a VROD Muscle, never seen one before but fell in love with it instantly. The dealer approached me and we negotiated a deal there and then. That bike isn’t the bike I have now, I sold it under duress due to our business taking a down turn. I always felt that it was the biggest mistake I made. However, in 2018 I came across a another muscle, this one was totally blacked out, shortened rear fender and 300 conversion. My impulse buy kicked in again and I’ve been the proud owner of it ever since.
I have made a few changes over the years I have owned it to make it the bike it is today.
I was introduced to the UK-V-Rodders group by a chance meeting of one of their members.
I been on many of the organised rides and have loved every minute. Earlier this year I was asked to become a Rodfather and organise the Lake District ride as the Lakes are on my doorstep.
Here’s a few of my photos…
